Document scanners have been around for a long time, and have been getting much more portable in recent years. Up to this point, scanners have only been available for Mac or PC. Brookstone aims to change all that, however, with their new iConvert – a unique document scanner designed for the iPad!

It took a few test scans to get the hang of feeding the prints in so they’d scan right, but once I did that, it’s just been a matter of setting aside time to scan.
While the need to scan a document into an iPad isn’t terribly common (there’s no doubt this is a niche product), it’s still pretty cool to have options like this available for those who would find it useful.
The iConvert features an adjustible front feeder which can accept documents from two inches wide to a full sheet of paper, and can scan and digitize almost anything you send its way at 300 DPI. Digitized documents are then stashed directly in your iPad’s camera roll.
